Founded in 2018, the New Age Pilgrim is an adventure travel and immersive culture showcase company based and operating in the mystical mountain state of Sikkim, India. Our base of experience lies in our own journey into what it is to seek adventure. It’s certainly not just the thrill of sheer cliffs or majestic views of which there are plenty. Sikkim always had a lot more to offer to the many travelers that came along its way over the centuries. The difference lies in how open your mind and heart were to see the virtues, character, and warmth in its people, the sanctitude and profound value of its traditions, religions and ubiquitous prayer flags and the deep echo of spiritual significance in its breath-taking mountains and valleys.

Tshering norbu bhutia
A true son of the soil, Tshering is from Gangtok, Sikkim and is a founding member and main overseer of operations. A certified mountaineer from the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Darjeeling, he holds a deep fondness for his state, its people and traditions and is a leading figure in the New Age Pilgrim. Always ready with a smile and patient with people, he brings to the team a vast array of skills and takes the lead on most treks plus tours. His expertise is in guiding treks and educating people about his state and its many cultural nuances make him a natural conduit of cultural exchange and observation. Always good company, you’ll never feel out of place in Sikkim with him around. He is exactly the kind of person you want for Karaoke nights at the bar. Catch him on one of ours treks sometime!
Mridul mohan
A certified mountaineer from the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Darjeeling, Mridul enjoys the outdoors and is an avid backpacker, trekker, and mountaineering enthusiast. A founding member, he steers the overall vision of the New Age Pilgrim and oversees growth and ethos. His main role lies in client outreach and heading the online presence. That apart, he is a huge history buff, spends his downtime listening to old country and loves a good debate about who will win a fight between a Yeti and a Chewbacca. Friendly and open-minded in nature, he is ready to lend a hand and appreciates everything and everyone around him. Find him on one of our treks and tours.

Nikhil rao krishnan
A passionate fitness enthusiast with a background in finance, Nikhil is our head of administration and oversees all the nerdy stuff we have to do to keep us running. His strengths lie in his quick thinking and can do attitude. Smart and industrious, he forms a crucial part of the functioning of the organization. Voted as the nicest guy by all the girls who have met him, he is as genuine as they come and will always be ready to do your taxes. That's right before he bills his next bar tab on you. His favorite movie just so happens to be the ‘Accountant’. Great company as always.
Wangyal bhutia
Our logistics and local expert, Wangyal is known as the man who can make things happen. Ever friendly, dependable and warm, he is a fantastic cook who can chop wood like he can chop his vegetables. He is a tough and hardy breed, resourceful and very much in tune with his surroundings. As an outdoor survival enthusiast and local knowledge house, he is an integral part of our team and our connect with Sikkim.

Jerry is not the sharpest tool in the shed, but he makes up for it by being a good boi. Always eager to chase passing motorists and passing monkeys, he is our adorable and doting mascot and commander in chief. You’ll always find him right in front of your nose while eating dinner. The doggiest doggo around.
